Supporting transgendered people in Rotherham and the surrounding area
Transupport aims to provide practical support to all transpeople, their families and friends. It is a source of information and guidance for health professionals, care workers, employers and anyone interested in transgender issues.
We have up-to-date information on the treatment offered by the NHS and the various other options available. We can provide practical help with clothes and make-up and learning to live in a new gender role, whether full or part time.
We have access to experienced support workers who can meet in confidence with anyone who is confronted with gender issues. This could be the transgendered person themselves, a family member, a G.P, health worker or employer.
Meetings are held at a secure location, on the outskirts of Rotherham, and are held on the third Monday of every month. Anyone wishing to attend must contact us first to introduce themselves. In the interest of privacy we may wish to talk to prospective members on the telephone before inviting them to join us.
Our next meeting is on Monday the 21st. of May at 7.30 pm. This meeting will be at our new location. Please contact us for more information if you don't know where it is.
